What the Job Involves

If you join our team as a Manual Machinist, here’s what your day might look like:

1. Barrel Threading

This is one of our most in-demand services. You’ll be threading barrels for suppressors, muzzle brakes, competition setups, custom builds, and more. Precision is everything — and you’ll be the specialist who makes sure every thread is cut clean and true.

2. Firearm Machining & Custom Fabrication

Many of our customers request one-off custom projects that require machining skill, accuracy, and creativity. You may be shaping parts, milling components, modifying receivers, or crafting solutions for unique firearm setups.

3. Supporting our Custom Firearm Builds

Our shop is known for custom guns, and your role will be a huge part of that. You’ll work alongside our gunsmithing team to bring designs to life — from tactical rifles to competition pistols to restoration projects.

4. Working With Firearms of All Types

This includes:

  • Handguns

  • Shotguns

  • Rifles

  • AR-15 platforms

  • AK-47 platforms

  • Antique firearms

  • Hunting rifles

  • Precision long-range builds

5. Helping Maintain Our Reputation for Quality

Job Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Experience running manual lathes

  • Experience with barrel threading specifically

  • Knowledge of machining firearm components

  • Understanding of firearm safety (mandatory)

  • Ability to read prints and machine to exact tolerances

  • A strong attention to detail

  • A good work ethic and reliability

  • A willingness to collaborate on custom projects

Bonus points if you’ve worked in a gunsmith shop, completed gunsmithing training, or have experience with Cerakote, laser engraving, or firearm refinishing.


Pay & Schedule

Starting Pay:
💰 $25–$35 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Schedule:
Matches our shop hours:

  • Monday 10–6

  • Tuesday 10–6

  • Wednesday Closed

  • Thursday 10–6

  • Friday 10–6

  • Saturday 10–2

  • Sunday Closed
